By Jennifer

A British Royal Warrant is granted by Elizabeth II, the Ducked of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales to companies or trades people who supply goods or services to the Royal Family. Whether or not this absolutely gives the company the edge when it comes to selling to the public is debatable. For one thing, having a royal warrant can escalate the price of a product or service so that it is out of reach for most citizens.  For example the wedding planner for Kate and Will’s royal wedding is probably not accessible price-wise to the ordinary betrothed couple.
