Male Pick Up Lins From the U.K.
If one thing British men are known for it is being smooth and savvy just like James Bond. They are known world-wide for their bizarre pick up lines. The dating scene in the United Kingdom is known for its wit when it comes to courting the ladies.
For instance a common pick up line in Ireland is “You wanna go halves on a baby with me?” This is a classic pick up line in Ireland that is a shameless reference to the Irish tendency to have a lot of children. Also often heard in Ireland is a really corny lines like “Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?” or “Did you have Lucky Charms for breakfast? They are magically delicious.” They like to make the ladies laugh.
In many of the ethnic bars in London you will hear pick up lines from all over the world. In the bars in Italian restaurants you can hear a guy say “Ciao” instead of hello or goodbye. The Italian Londoners are quite straightforward when it comes to a pick up line. Although not witty it is quite charming to hear an Italian fellow say, “Hey how about a kiss?”
It is also amusing to hear the U.K. guys use a French phrase in order to try and impress you. It is quite common to have a witty Scottish bloke come up to you and say something like “Je t’aime, mon amour. Je t’embrasse. T’es manifique.” Sometimes they use the cliché old line from the song, “Voulez-vous couchez avec moi ce soir.”
The English guys can be quite deft with the pick up lines and like to make women laugh.
The Scottish men are especially good at using a pick up line to make a girl laugh. For instance you might here “Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again?” , “It’s a good thing that I have my library card. Why? Because you are totally checking me out.”
The Londoners and guys from Edinburgh and Glasgow also love the American girls. If you are visiting the U.K. do not be surprised if you hear a pick up line such as “I’ve never kissed an American girl before. Want to indulge me?”
All of the old chestnuts are to be heard in the U.K. bars. Expect to hear lines like “ Fancy a shag?”, “Do you mind giving me back the breath you took away.” And “Do I know you, because you look a lot like my next girlfriend.”
One of the funniest: “The name is Bond. James Bond.”
